Motivations

I strongly believe in the power of personal publishing and entrepreneurship as key elements of progressive social change, which explains why my work, writing, and career are all focused on these topics. My work in evangelizing things like blogging is grounded in the belief that the best and most important use of technology is as a social communications tool.

A primary goal of my work is to encourage people, especially young people, to start and run socially-responsible businesses both for the possibility of improving their careers and for the knowledge that's gained, which informs the career paths and opportunities of even those who don't choose to remain entrepreneurs.

My Sites

  • Anil Dash weblog
My main weblog, updated continuously for over eight years, and the best place to start if you want to find out about me.
  • My Vox Blog
A more personal blog, where I post ephemera and silliness that's probably only of interest to friends and family. Note: If you're not connected to me as a friend or family, you probably won't be able to read most of my posts there.
  • My LiveJournal
A little more informal narrative about what I'm doing and seeing on a day-to-day basis. Many of these entries are private, or for friends and family only.
  • Six Apart
Our company's site, where I frequently post about all the different weird little things that we do.
  • Anil Dash
A biographical page giving more information about me, and listing where I can be found on the web.
  • anil's daily links
Interesting things I've found on the web, updated about a dozen times every weekday. (No longer updated.)
  • Pop Life
Pop Life, my blog about pop music and pop culture.
  • magazine
Longer essays that I've written. (No longer updated.)
  • hello, nintendo
A group weblog about gaming and video game culture.
